Deputy lieutenants
A deputy lieutenant of Lanarkshire is commissioned by the Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire. Deputy lieutenants support the work of the lord-lieutenant. There can be several deputy lieutenants at any time, depending on the population of the county.
