Urban agglomeration

In the census of India 2011, an urban agglomeration was defined as follows:
"An urban agglomeration is a continuous urban spread constituting a town and its adjoining outgrowths, or two or more physically contiguous towns together with or without outgrowths of such towns. An Urban Agglomeration must consist of at least a statutory town and its total population should not be less than 20,000 as per the 2001 Census. In varying local conditions, there were similar other combinations which have been treated as urban agglomerations satisfying the basic condition of contiguity."

Jamshedpur Urban Agglomeration includes: * Jamshedpur, Jamshedpur, Tata Nagar Railway Colony, Mango, Jugsalai, Bagbera, Chhota Gobindpur, Haludbani, Sarjamda, Gadhra, Ghorabandha, Purihasa, Adityapur, Chota Gamahria and Kapali.
Dhanbad Urban Agglomeration includes: Dhanbad, Pondarkanali, Malkera, Baua Kalan and Nagri Kalan.
Ranchi Urban Agglomeration includes: Ranchi, Kanke, Arsande, Ara, Tundiul and Bargarwa.
Bokaro Steel City Urban Agglomeration includes: Bokaro Steel City, Chas, Bandhgora and Kamaldih.
Phusro Urban Agglomeration includes: Phusro, Bermo, Jaridih Bazar, Bokaro Thermal and Kurpania.
Hazaribagh Urban Agglomeration includes Hazaribagh and Okni.
Giridih Urban Agglomeration includes: Giridih, Paratdih, Sirsia, Pertodih and Dandidih.
Ramgarh Urban Agglomeration includes: Ramgarh, Sirka, Marar and Barkakana.
Medininagar Urban Agglomeration includes: Medininagar, Rerma, Sundna, Baratola, Nimiya, Bajraha, Bairiya, Redma ward 0001, Sudna ward 0001, and Baralota ward 0001.
Chirkunda Urban Agglomeration includes: Chirkunda, Egarkunr, Siuliban, Mera, Maithon and Dumarkunda.
