List of Islamic texts
This is a list of Islamic texts. The religious texts of Islam include the Quran, several previous texts, including the Tawrat revealed to the prophets and messengers amongst the Children of Israel, the Zabur revealed to Dawud and the Injil revealed to Isa, and the hadith.
Quran
The Quran is the central religious text of Islam, which Muslims believe to be a revelation from God. It is widely regarded as the finest work in classical Arabic literature. The Quran is divided into chapters, which are subdivided into verses.; Text of the Quran
The text of the Qur'an of 114 chapters of varying lengths, each known as a surah. Each surah is formed from several verses, each called an ayah.

Previous revelations
Other Islamic books considered to be revealed by God before the Quran, mentioned by name in the Quran are the Tawrat revealed to the prophets and messengers amongst the Children of Israel, the Zabur revealed to Dawud and the Injil revealed to Isa. The Quran also mentions God having revealed the Scrolls of Abraham and the Scrolls of Moses.The Islamic methodology of refers to interpreting the Qur'an with/through the Bible.
