History

Liphook were founded in 1903 and spent their early days playing friendly fixtures.
After the Great War, the club began playing at the Recreation Ground at London Road and joined the Aldershot & District Football League, where they enjoyed plenty of success.
In 1969, Liphook were elected to the Hampshire League and were champions of Division 4 in 1974. The following season they were runners-up in Division 3 - narrowly missing out on the title to BAT Sports, but after finishing midtable in a competitive Division 2 they left the competition in 1976.
The eighties saw a revival, and after twice winning the Aldershot Senior Cup, Liphook returned to the Hampshire League in 1985 and won the Division 3 title. They then finished runners-up in Division 2, finishing behind local rivals Alton Town. Liphook then consolidated in the top-flight before again departing the competition, returning to the Aldershot League.
In June 1999, the club became known as Liphook United after amalgamating with the local youth club of that name.
The new millennium saw Liphook re-emerge as a force, and in 2008 they won the Hampshire Intermediate Cup, 2-1 against Nursling. They then became founder members of the Surrey Elite Intermediate League, but only played a solitary season - finishing runners-up, again missing out on goal difference. In 2009 Liphook joined the Hampshire Premier League and have since won the title three times, the county cup twice and league cup once.
In 2024, they won the Mark Coombs Cup, beating Hartley Wintney Reserves 4-1 in final, played at Aldershot Town FC - avenging a defeat from the previous season.
