Lenwood is a census-designated place in the Mojave Desert near Barstow, in San Bernardino County, California.
The population was 3,623 at the 2020 census, up from 3,543 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Mojave River, west of Barstow.

The 2020 United States census reported that Lenwood had a population of 3,623. The population density was. The racial makeup of Lenwood was 42.4% White, 9.1% African American, 2.5% Native American, 1.2% Asian, 0.9% Pacific Islander, 25.1% from other races, and 18.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 52.4% of the population.The whole population lived in households. There were 1,162 households, out of which 41.1% included children under the age of 18, 42.3% were married-couple households, 8.0% were cohabiting couple households, 28.9% had a female householder with no partner present, and 20.7% had a male householder with no partner present. 23.0% of households were one person, and 8.5% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 3.12. There were 824 families.
The age distribution was 32.1% under the age of 18, 8.9% aged 18 to 24, 25.8% aged 25 to 44, 20.9% aged 45 to 64, and 12.4% who were 65years of age or older. The median age was 31.4years. For every 100 females, there were 95.8 males.

The racial makeup of Lenwood was 2,133 White, 219 African American, 94 Native American, 37 Asian, 25 Pacific Islander, 813 from other races, and 222 from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1,675 persons.The whole population lived in households, no one lived in non-institutionalized group quarters and no one was institutionalized.
There were 1,133 households, 524 had children under the age of 18 living in them, 543 were opposite-sex married couples living together, 214 had a female householder with no husband present, 101 had a male householder with no wife present. There were 122 unmarried opposite-sex partnerships, and 11 same-sex married couples or partnerships. 206 households were one person and 66 had someone living alone who was 65 or older. The average household size was 3.13. There were 858 families ; the average family size was 3.50.
