Ladislav Alster


Ladislav Alster, was a Czech chess player, Czechoslovak Chess Championship winner, European Team Chess Championship team medalist.

Biography

In the mid-1950s Ladislav Alster was one of the leading Czechoslovak chess players. He repeatedly competed in the Czechoslovak Chess Championship finals, where winning three medals: gold, silver and bronze. In 1957, in Wageningen Ladislav Alster played in World Chess Championship Zonal tournament and ranked in 13th place. He competed in chess tournaments until 1989.
