This station consists of a single side platform serving a single bi-directional track, connected to the station building by a footbridge. The station is unattended.

History

The station opened as a temporary stop on 28 May 1931, and was upgraded to a full passenger station on 30 October 1931. With the privatization of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East.
