Katie Cappelletti
Katherine Cappelletti is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper. She played college soccer for the Saint Joseph's Hawks and began her professional career with the North Carolina Courage in 2025.
Early life
Cappelletti grew up in Fayetteville, New York, and attended Jamesville-DeWitt High School. She began playing in goal when she was six. She played club soccer for Syracuse Development Academy.College career
Cappeletti's freshman season with the Saint Joseph's Hawks was postponed to the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In five seasons with the Hawks, she started 85 games and set a program record with 27 clean sheets. In her final season in 2024, she led the Atlantic 10 Conference in saves, posted 8 clean sheets in 20 games, and was named first-team All-A-10 and the A-10 Goalkeeper of the Year.Club career
Cappelletti joined the North Carolina Courage as a non-roster invitee in the 2025 preseason. Third-stringer Hensley Hancuff retired from the Courage on May 14. Eight days later, the Courage signed Cappelletti to her first professional contract through the remainder of the season, but she didn't make any appearances behind starter Casey Murphy and backup Marisa Jordan.Cappelletti joined the Kansas City Current as a non-roster invitee in the 2026 preseason.
