Early life and background

Malhotra initially worked in theatre before moving to Melbourne, Australia, where he took jobs such as assisting at film festivals and doing poster work, while pursuing his acting ambitions.

Career

Malhotra made his screen debut in the Netflix sports-drama series Selection Day, produced by Anil Kapoor, portraying the role of Javed Ansari.
He subsequently appeared in the Amazon Prime Video series The Forgotten Army - Azaadi Ke Liye and the independent Netflix film What Are the Odds.
