Kang Seung Lee


Kang Seung Lee is a South Korean contemporary multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Los Angeles, California.

Education

He received an MFA from California Institute of the Arts.

Work

Lee's practice examines themes of identity, community, and collective memory, frequently addressing the legacy of transnational queer histories as they intersect with art history.
Lee’s work has been included in a number of international exhibitions such as the 60th Venice Biennale ; ; ; and 13th Gwangju Biennale among others.

Lee's work is in the permanent collections of Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; RISD Museum, Providence; Solomon R.
