He was a Maithil Brahmin and belonged to Kashyap Gotra.Later lifeKameshwar Thakur was an eminent scholar and Guru of the King Harisimhadeva in the Karnat Dynasty. He was the Rajpandita at the court of the Karnat King Harisimhadeva.
