Kalinovo


Kalinovo is a small village in Poltár District, in the Banská [Bystrica Region] of Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1279. Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, Kalinovo was part of Nógrád [County (former)|Nógrád County] within the Kingdom of Hungary. From 1939 to 1945, it was part of the Slovak [Republic (1939–1945)|Slovak Republic].
