Kakabai is an Austronesian language spoken in Milne Bay Province of Papua New Guinea.

Phonology

The labialized consonants /pʷ bʷ mʷ kʷ gʷ/ only appear before /a/.
/l/ varies dialectally between .
/ɣ/ is realized as before front vowels.
/m/ can appear syllabically.
