Justus Parmar
Justus Grant Parmar is a Canadian venture capitalist and entrepreneur. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Fortuna Investments, a venture capital firm based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Early life and education
Parmar was born in Duncan, British Columbia, Canada in 1982. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria and later completed executive studies in private equity and venture capital at Harvard University.Career
He began his career in finance at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and later worked as an investment advisor at several Canadian firms. In 2015, Parmar founded Fortuna Investments, a private investment firm focused on early-stage companies in sectors such as energy, mining, and technology.He established the Justus Parmar Group Scholarship Foundation, which provides scholarships to finance students at the University of British Columbia, and has been involved with Face of Today, a non-profit organization promoting youth mental health awareness.
In 2020, Parmar expanded Fortuna's activities to the United States, including investments in the space sector such as Starfighters Space, based at Cape Canaveral. He has also been reported as an early investor in SpaceX.
