Joseph Ramotshabi

Joseph Ramotshabi is a Botswana former sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres. He represented Botswana in several major international competitions during the 1980 Summer Olympics and the 1984 Summer Olympics.

Athletic Career

Ramotshabi made his Olympic debut at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, competing in the men’s 400 metres. He later represented Botswana at both the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and the 1988 Seoul Olympics, continuing to run the 400 metres event.
Beyond the Olympics, Ramotshabi competed at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane and the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh.
He also took part in regional athletics events representing Botswana during the early years of the country’s participation in international track and field.
