Josaly

Josaly or Zhosaly is an urban-type settlement in the Kyzylorda Region, Kazakhstan. It is the administrative center of Karmakshy District. Population:

Geography

Josaly is located on the right bank of the Syr Darya river, close to the western limit of the Daryalyktakyr plain. Zhosaly railway station, built in 1905, is located in the northern part of the town, northwest of Kyzylorda.

Climate

Josaly has a continental desert climate, characterized by very cold winters and very hot summers.
