Joint Civilian Service Commendation Award
The Joint Civilian Service 'Commendation Medal ' is a civilian service award of under the authority of the combatant commands and heads of joint organizations.
Eligibility
This award is granted to any civilian employee of the Joint Staff, combatant commands, joint organizations reporting to or through the CJCS, or any other employee designated by the CJCS for service that is commendable and does not meet the level required for the JMCSM.The award cannot be received in conjunction with a Secretary of Defense award for the same service. The service or actions should have lasting impact on the program or mission. The time requirement should be a tour or station of three to five years or a deployment of at least a year.
