John Minds


John Henry Minds was an American college football player and coach. He played football at the University of Pennsylvania as a fullback and tackle from 1894 to 1897. Minds served as the head football coach at the University of Minnesota in 1898, compiling a record of 4–5. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame as a player in 1962.
Minds was a later a lawyer and general solicitor for the United Gas Improvement Co.—now known as UGI Corporation. He died on December 31, 1963, at his home in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Philadelphia.
