Jim Scherr
James Edwin Scherr is a former American wrestler and former U.S. Olympic Committee CEO. He placed in three world wrestling championships taking bronze at 90 kg at the 11986 [World Wrestling Championships|986 World Wrestling Championships], followed by a silver medal at the 1987 World Championship. He then competed in the Wrestling at the [1988 Summer Olympics – Men's freestyle 90 kg|men's freestyle 90 kg] at the 1988 [Summer Olympics]. He repeated as silver medalist at 90 kg at the 1989 World Championships. His twin brother Bill Scherr was also an Olympian.
In 2002, he was inducted in the National Wrestling [Hall of Fame and Museum|National Wrestling Hall of Fame] as a Distinguished Member.
