Jam, Iran
Jam is a city in the Central District of Jam County, Bushehr province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. It is also the administrative center for Jam Rural District. The village of Velayat was converted to a city in 1996 and renamed Jam in 1999.Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 10,809 in 2,734 households. The 2011 census counted 16,313 people in 4,632 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 31,436 people in 9,356 households.Neighborhoods
The city of Jam is formed from the former villages of Khvajeh Ahmadi, Malecheh, Qaleh-ye Kohneh, and Velayat.Climate

Jam's main sport team is Pars Jonubi Jam football club who used to play in the Azadegan League and now in Persian Gulf Pro League, Iranian Premier League.
