Early life and background
Isaac was abandoned by his mother in hospital leaving him behind with no details of his family or name. As a newborn, he was left wailing, too young to know he had just been left behind with nothing. Life at Reverend Keffa Sempangi's orphanage was brutal, it did not pamper, it did not spare. He grew up among 150 boys where food arrived in a single bucket and the fastest hands ate first.A child born without a medical certificate was a story in itself, he said in an interview with New vision. Mwesigwa moved like a shadow unnoticed, unclaimed until the realisation hit him around the age of eight when other children would talk about their mothers and fathers only for him to realise he had none.
At age 13, he had already hustled his way through buveera business to pay his way into Mukono Boarding school. But then, the Head teacher of its sister school, Mukono High, offered him a deal to make 10,000 bricks for school an get education in return which Mwesigwe accepted without negotiation or hesitation. While at school, he wore the same uniform from senior one to senior four and in the end it was short, stretched and barely holding together but all that did not stop him from taking his education seriously.
Education
Mwesigwa was born in Mukono District. He attended Mukono Boarding school for O-level education. In 1996, long before he stepped into a classroom as a leader, a single moment struck him during Uganda's Presidential elections and ignited his love for education. The educated minds in the audience and presidential candidates who switched eloquently between English and Luganda helped him to come to a conclusion that it was education that had led them that far. He didn't just want to speak well, he wanted to think well.
Career
He has worked in various organisations such as the Network Operations Centre Manager for Liquid Telecom and Support Engineer with UNESCO Accra, Ghana and currently he is the Technical and Support Manager for Ntest, Inc representing Africa, Middle East, Asia and parts of Europe. He represented various players in Uganda like Allan Okello, Julius Poloto, Mustafa Kizza and Peter Magambo among others. He is also the founding chairman of Futsal Association Uganda and works with several skills in a bid to develop an educated footballer.
