Integrating marine protected areas with catch regulation

Integrating marine protected areas with catch regulation is a scholarly work by Ray Hilborn, Giulio A. De Leo, and Fiorenza Micheli, published in 2006 in ''Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences''. The main subjects of the publication include overfishing, biological dispersal, environmental science, fishing, stock assessment, stock, business, Fish stock, sustainability, maximum sustainable yield, Fisheries and climate change, fishery, marine protected area, and fisheries management. The authors find that when a stock is managed at maximum sustainable yield, or is overfished, implementation of an MPA will require a reduction in TAC to avoid increased fishing pressure on the stock outside the MPA.
