Igbo-Ero


Igbo-Ero is a rural village located in Yagba East, Kogi State, Nigeria. It is one of the dispersed communities in the Okun-speaking zone of the state.

Geography

The settlement occupies savanna terrain marked by farmland, shrubs and intermittent water channels.

Local economy

Agriculture is the main source of livelihood, with villagers cultivating yam, cassava, maize and cashew. Small livestock rearing supplements crop production.

Society

The population consists primarily of Yoruba speakers of the Yagba dialect. Christian religious practices are common.
