Hollinsend tram stop

Hollinsend is a tram stop on the South Yorkshire Supertram network, opened on 5 December 1994. It is located on Ridgeway Road. It is next to Hollinsend Park and Recreation Ground.

History

This stop was opened along with the track section between Spring Lane and Gleadless Townend in December 1994. The line was extended further to Halfway in March 1995 and Herdings Park in April 1995.

Hollinsend tram stop has two low-level side platforms, situated in a central reservation section on Ridgeway Road.
At the centre of each platform, passenger information displays stand and show estimated arrival times for trams. There are also two short ramps at each end of the platforms, providing step-free access for passengers.

The Blue route has a peak frequency of 5 trams per hour, and the Purple route runs hourly Monday−Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sundays.
