Hogan Preparatory Academy
Hogan Preparatory Academy is a charter school in Kansas [City, Missouri]. As of March 2022 it had an enrollment of 450, of which 98 percent were African American.
History
The school was founded as a Catholic high school in 1942 and was named for John Joseph Hogan, the first bishop of the Diocese of Kansas City. It became a charter school in 1999.Athletics
The school won its first List of Missouri [state high school boys basketball championships|state championship] in boys' basketball in 2011 and won again in 2018.Notable alumni
