Herb SiegertHerbert Frank Siegert was an American professional football guard and linebacker in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins.College careerSiegert originally attended Illinois Wesleyan University, and then served in World War II as a United States [Marine Corps|marine] in the Pacific. After the war, he played college football at the University of Illinois and won the Big Ten Conference in 1946, as well as the 1947 [Rose Bowl] against the University of California, Los Angeles.
