Development

Development of the film began in late 2024, with Guy Potter writing the script as part of an MA course whilst studying at Falmouth University. Intending to expand on the success of Trengellick Rising, it was decided that Hegoledh should also be shot on 16mm Kodak film, though this time, in colour
In September 2024 it was decided that the film be commissioned separately from just educational study, and was moved into pre-production by High Sierra Films. The fundraising page was launched on Crowdfunder in mid-November, 2024.

Filming

Filming began in March 2025, with principal photography taking place on the Helford River in Cornwall and has successfully wrapped as of 23rd March 2025. The film is now in post-production as the film is in its editing phase.
