Haut-Clocher

Haut-Clocher is a commune in the Moselle department in Grand Est in north-eastern France.

Toponymy

The village was built on a hill at the top of which was a church which gave the village its name
The French name Haut-Clocher replaced the former German name Zittersdorf.

History

The commune was ruled by the seigneurs of Fénétrange, then by the bailliage of Lixheim.
