Haruno Sasaki

Haruno Sasaki is a Japanese handball player for Borussia [Dortmund Handball] and the Japan [women's national handball team|Japanese national team].

National team

She participated at the 2017 [World Women's Handball Championship|2017] and 2019 World Championships. She also represented Japan at the 2020 Olympics at home.
At the 2022 [Asian Women's Handball Championship|2022 Asian Championship], she won silver medals, losing to South Korea in the final. In the final, she was the Japanese top scorer with 7 goals.
At the 2023 World Championship she was part of the Japanese team that finished 17th.
At the 2024 Asian Championship she won gold medals with the Japanese team.
She represented Japan again at the 2025 World Championship.
