Hamren
Hamren is a hillside town and the headquarters of the West Karbi Anglong district in the Indian state of Assam.
Demographics
As of the 2011 census of India, Hamren had a population of 8,694. Males constituted 50.5 per cent of the population and females 49.5%. Hamren has an average literacy rate of 86 per cent, with male literacy at 90 per cent and female literacy at 82 per cent. Nationally, India's average literacy rate is 74 per cent.Geography
