Guillaume Gevart


Guillaume Gevart is a French producer and director. He won an honorable mention at Student World Impact Film Festival 2023 for his film The Venus Chained.

Career

In 2019 he directed the film Yearning Rose. In 2021 he produced the film La légende de Thierry Mauvignier, and in 2023 he directed the documentary The Venus Chained distributed on Prime Video, which received an honorable mention at Student World Impact Film Festival 2023 He was selected for the Documentary Festival on Justice for his film Anne Bouillon: Justice for women !, about the lawyer Anne Bouillon. He directed Gevart in 2024, "a film delicately representing a tutelary figure of a doctor" according to Bande à part.

Family

Born to a doctor father. In an interview, Guillaume Gevart stated that he is of Jewish descent, with family roots in Poland and Sarajevo. He explained that part of his family survived historical atrocities and later rebuilt their lives in France, a legacy that he cites as a source of inspiration for his optimism and resilience.
