Before racial integration, GSD operated a second set of schools for African-American students to attend. Those schools included:- Rebecca Reed School

Other Schools
GSD Had A List Of Other Schools, Some Of These Schools Were For Whites, Some Of These Schools Were Closed Before 1966, Some Still Ran Even After Racial Intergration, And Some Were Bought By A Company Long After It Closed. Those Schools Included:- Lizzie Horn Elementary School

Renovations
• In 2023, They Planed On Renovating GES Green Top To Add 3rd Grade, Due To Congestion At GES Red Top. They Started In June 2023 And Finished Just In Time For The 2024-2025 School Year• On January 21st, 2025, After The Successful Construction Of GES Green Top, The Superintendent Announced That Construction At GMS Would Start, They Planed To Add 5th Grade To The Middle School. It Planed To Be Finished Just In Time For The 2026-2027 School Year.
