Gobindanagar is a village in the Daspur I CD block in the Ghatal subdivision of the Paschim Medinipur district in the state of West Bengal, India.

, scholar, social reformer and a key figure of the Bengal Renaissance, was born at Birsingha on 26 September 1820.
Ghatal subdivision, shown in the map alongside, has alluvial soils. Around 85% of the total cultivated area is cropped more than once. Demographics

According to the 2011 Census of India, Gobindanagar had a total population of 2,085, of which 1,049 were males and 1,036 were females. There were 202 persons in the age range of 0–6 years. The total number of literate persons in Radhakantapur was 1,777.

Culture

classifies the Radha Govinda temple as a pancha-ratna having smooth rekha turrets, measuring around 22’ 4", with rich terracotta decoration. Built in 1682, it has been much renovated, including new towers.
The Radha Govinda temple is a state protected monument.
