First Vice-Chairman of the Committees on Petitions and Citizens rights. Chairman of the Delegation for relations with Switzerland, Iceland and Norway. Second Vice-President of the European Parliament. Chairman of the Conciliation Committee. Responsible for Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.
