Gerhard Wegner (chemist)

Gerhard Wegner (born 3 January 1940) is a German chemist. He was born in Berlin.

His employers include Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research. Awards received include Order of Merit of Rhineland-Palatinate, Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, Otto Bayer Award, Hermann Staudinger Prize, DECHEMA Medal, Philip Morris Research Prize, honorary doctor of ETH Zürich, ACS Award in Polymer Chemistry, and honorary doctorate of the Łódź University of Technology.
