Garev


Givat Garev is a hill outside the ancient city of Jerusalem. The hill of Garev is mentioned in the Book of Jeremiah 31:38.
Garev is also a biblical name. Garev was a warrior from the tribe of Judah. Ithrite is the designation of two members of King David's guard, Ira and Gareb. They may have come from Yatir, in the mountains of Judah.
According to the prophecy of Jeremiah, the city of Jerusalem would one day stretch as far as Givat Garev.
