Trifunctional purine biosynthetic protein adenosine-3 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the GART gene.
This protein is a trifunctional polypeptide. It has phosphoribosylamine—glycine ligase, phosphoribosylglycinamide formyltransferase, AIR synthetase (FGAM cyclase) activity which is required for de novo purine biosynthesis.
