Some individuals can measure up to 75 mm. The type species of Fulgora is Cicada laternaria Linnaeus 10th [edition of Systema Naturae|1758], designated under the Plenary Powers by International Commission on [Zoological Nomenclature|ICZN] ; now Fulgora laternaria, it is the most well-known and widespread species.
