Sarocha Chankimha


Sarocha Chankimha, nicknamed Freen, is a Thai actress, model, and singer. Freen began her acting career in 2021 with the drama So Fit and gained prominence for her role in the sapphic television series Gap. In 2024, she starred in the films Uranus 2324 and Rider. In January 3, 2025, she became a brand ambassador of the fashion house of Valentino.

Early life and education

Sarocha was born on 8 August 1998 in Bangkok, Thailand, and is the only child in a Buddhist family. She attended high school at La Salle School Bangkok. For her post-secondary education, she graduated from the College of Communication Arts at Rangsit University, with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication. She had a strong inclination towards a career in the corporate sector. She was awarded First Class Honours for her academic achievement.

Career

In 2016, Freen competed in Miss Teen Thailand and was one of 15 finalists, receiving an award. During the contest she was given the opportunity to be the host of Miss Teen Thai and Girl Daily program.
After completing her graduate degree, she decided to pursue her career in the Thai entertainment industry so she started auditioning at various talent agencies and finally signed a contract with Idol Factory. Her first acting break was in the music video "Before Rain" by Thai recording artist The Toys. In 2020 she guest starred in the TV show Sosat Seoulsay.
She made her acting debut in the Thai drama industry in 2021 with the romantic-comedy drama So Fit as Bing, the female lead.
In 2022 she played a supporting role in Secret Crush on You. In the same year, Chankimha she played Sam in Thailand's first Girls' Love series Gap, which surpassed 900 million views on YouTube. She received international attention and her and her on-screen partner Rebecca Patricia Armstrong, became known as "FreenBecky". She also sang several songs for Gap OST, including "Whisper".
Freen has been featured on the covers of several fashion magazines including the Thai editions of such GQ, L'Officiel, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and Vogue. She is also featured on the official pages of luxury brands including Givenchy, Off-White, MCM, Gucci, YSL, Gentle Monster, Prada, Fred, and Tiffany&Co.
In 2024 she signed with The Venture Management.
In May 2024, Freen attended the 77th Cannes Film Festival as a "Women in Cinema" honoree. She was featured in the Women in Cinema panel at the Variety Global Conversations event presented by the Red Sea International Film Festival. She appeared on the digital cover of Vanity Fair magazine as one of the "Six Women in Cinema".
She starred in the romantic sci-fi film Uranus 2324, the romantic period drama The Loyal Pin, and the movie Rider.
In September 2024, Freen made her debut at Paris Fashion Week SS25 with Valentino. She earned $4.9M in EMV, accounting for approximately 25% of Valentino's total $19M, making her the brand's top contributor. According to Launchmetrics, Freen ranked first in per post MIV during Paris Fashion Week SS25 for her appearance in the front row of Valentino Spring/Summer Runway Show. She generated $5.9 million in Media Impact Value across four placements, including $1.5 million from a single post.
In December 2024, Freen attended the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, earning high praise from fashion critics for her red carpet looks. She wore Zuhair Murad Fall 2024 to the 'Moon' premiere and Giambattista Valli to the closing ceremony, earning her the title of 'Breakout Star 2024' from RCFA.
On January 4, 2025, Freen was appointed as a brand ambassador for Valentino.
On March 1, 2025, Freen made her international runway debut at the 40th Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 Spring / Summer with Japan luxury fashion company Darich for the presentation of the Spring/Summer 2025 collection company. She is the First Thai actress to walk the runway at Japan. Later, on March 9, 2025, Valentino announced that Sarocha would make an appearance at their fall/winter 2025 show in Paris. She reportedly contributed $4.9 million in EMV to the brand. According to data and technology company Launchmetrix, her attendance generated $1.8 million in MIV for the brand.
On May 6, 2025, Freen made history by becoming the first Thai actress to attend the Met Gala, representing Valentino in a standout custom look that earned praise from major outlets like Vogue, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, Teen Vogue, Elle, MTV, MTV UK and more. She was the top-ranked influencer for Valentino, contributing $13.7M EMV. She ranked 7th in the "Top Celebrities" list earning $7.13M EMV and her engagement rate of 33.9% marked the highest amongst all attendees. She ranked 2nd among total MIV of $36.5.M created for Valentino and came 2nd calculated by Average MIV with $19.5M.
On October 3, 2025, Freen got selected as member of 'The Business of Fashion 500 Class' in Paris. On October 5, 2025, Freen attended the Maison Valentino Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Show.
On October 14, 2025, her IDOLfactory contract ended and she became independent artist under her own management company named Solenn Entertainment.
On November 6, 2025, Freen Sarocha received the honour of being named Nang Noppamas of the Year ''at the ICONSIAM Loy Krathong Festival 2025.''
On November 12, 2025, Freen is a member of the influential people 2025 for Howe Magazine.
On December 29, Freen Sarocha featured on CIO Women Magazine as Notable Women 2025.
