Formless and Void
Formless and Void is a scholarly work, published in 2021 in ''Near Eastern Archaeology''. The main subjects of the publication include online game, digital humanities, Near Eastern archaeology, computer science, history, artificial intelligence in video games, art, space, multimedia, visual arts, and video game. The authors examine the ways these games recreate Bible lands through the application of a technique authors call “region marking,” in which signals of a game’s time and place are scattered across an otherwise unchanged space of play.
