Perfluoroalcohols
Most primary and secondary perfluoroalcohols are unstable, for example trifluoromethanol eliminates hydrogen fluoride, forming carbonyl fluoride. This reaction is reversible.Stable perfluorinated alcohols include nonafluoro-tert-butyl alcohol and pentafluorophenol.
