Experimental study on the modified dehydration and solidification/stabilization for desulfurization sludge
Experimental study on the modified dehydration and solidification/stabilization for desulfurization sludge is a scholarly work, published in 2018 in ''Desalination and Water Treatment''. The main subjects of the publication include chemistry, pulp and paper industry, metallurgy, waste management, flue-gas desulfurization, meta-analysis, materials science, and dehydration. Desulfurization sludge is generally characterized by high moisture content and high heavy metal content, leading to difficulty in co-landfilling treatment. This study presents a new type of sludge modification to reduce the moisture content of desulfurization sludge and a new type of curing agent to reduce the leaching concentrations of heavy metals. The moisture content could be reduced to less than 60%.The leaching concentrations of all heavy metals measured by the acetic acid buffer solution method could be reduced less than the standard limits.
