Elizabeth Pacey
Elizabeth Pacey is a Canadian writer from Nova Scotia.
Biography
Pacey worked as a high school teacher until 1972, when she quit to begin writing full-time. She was a vocal critic of high-rise development in the area surrounding the Halifax Citadel in the 1970s.Pacey has served as President of the Heritage Trust of [Nova Scotia]. Her husband, Philip, also served as President. He died in 2016. Pacey is the author of several books; including Landmarks, which won the Evelyn Richardson Award in 1995; and Miracle on Brunswick Street, which won the Dartmouth Book Award for Non-Fiction in 2004.
In 2002, Pacey was awarded the Queen [Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal]. She was invested into the Order of Canada on 4 May 2007.
