Edmond Fernandes
Edmond Clint Fernandes is an Indian physician, author, social entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of CHD Group, a non-profit organization based in India that works in the field of global health. He has previously served as a consultant with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok.
Early life and education
Fernandes was born in Niddodi, Mangalore. He completed his schooling at Don Bosco High School, Matunga. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Father Muller Medical College, and later completed a Doctor of Medicine in Community Medicine at Yenepoya University. During his medical studies, he served as the chief editor of the student magazine Mullerpulse at Father Muller Medical College.Academic associations

Policy advocacy
Fernandes demonstrated proof of concept to end malnutrition in India through a pilot project in Yelburga, Karnataka. He co-founded Mission ICU. Dr. Fernandes led the implementation of the seat belt policy for road safety in Mangalore in the year 2015.
