Eddie Sholl

Edward Sholl was an Australian [rules football]er who played for the Melbourne [Football Club] in the Victorian Football League.
Sholl played six games in the 1897 [VFL season|1897 inaugural VFL season], three of which were finals.
He captained Melbourne in 1899 and in the same year represented Victoria [Australian rules football team|Victoria] in an interstate fixture against South Australia [Australian rules football team|South Australia].
A fullback, he kept Gerald Brosnan goal-less in the 1900 VFL [Grand Final], which Melbourne won.
