Archdiocese of Paraíba


The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Paraíba is a Latin Metropolitan archdiocese, named after the city of João Pessoa, which used to be named Paraíba, in southeastern Brazil.
Its cathedral archiepiscopal see is a minor basilica, the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Snows, in the city of João Pessoa, the state capital.

As per 2014, it pastorally served 1,288,000 Catholics on 6,703 km² in 89 parishes and 8 missions with 151 priests, 37 deacons, 259 lay religious and 45 seminarians.
