Detlavs Brantkalns

Detlavs Brantkalns (23 June 1898 – 8 August 1979) is a Soviet military officer and politician. He was born in Mālumuiža. He died in Riga.

He was educated at Vystrel course. Awards received include Order of the Red Banner, Order of Lenin, Order of the October Revolution, Jubilee Medal "XX Years of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army", Order of Suvorov, 2nd class, Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", Medal "Veteran of the Armed Forces of the USSR", and Order of Kutuzov, 2nd class.
