Daniel Quaye


Daniel Quaye is a former professional footballer from Ghana. He played as a defender, and was on seven total teams during his career, before retiring in 2017.

Club career

After nine years of playing for Hearts of Oak, Quaye signed with the Chinese club Chongqing Lifan, playing 15 matches before returning to Hearts of Oak in August 2007. He was later released by Hearts of Oak and rejoined Chongqing Lifan in March 2008. In January 2009, he again left Chongqing Lifan and signed with Eleven Wise in Ghana on 9 April 2009. In the summer of 2009, he moved back to China and signed with Yanbian FC. Quaye extended his contract with Yanbian FC at the beginning of the 2010 China League One season.
Quaye signed with Beijing Sport University F.C. in February 2012.

International career

Quaye only featured in three of the Black Stars' qualifying games. His call-up to the Finals squad ended a two-year absence from the international scene.
He was a member of the Ghanaian national team and participated in the 2006 World Cup as well as a member of the Ghana national under-17 football team at the 1997 FIFA U-17 World Championship.
