Administrative ties
The commune is located in the Senlis district of the Oise department. From 1793 to 1973, it was the capital of the canton of Creil, the year in which the town was divided between the cantons of Creil-Nogent-sur-Oise and Creil-Sud. As part of the 2014 canton redistricting in France, this territorial administrative constituency disappeared, and the canton is now only an electoral constituency.
