Cordulegastroidea is a superfamily of dragonflies that contains three families.

The oldest known fossil members of Cordulegastroidea are the family Mesochlorogomphidae from the Barremian of England & Spain, and the family Araripechlorogomphidae from the late Aptian of Brazil, which are thought to be related to the Chlorogomphidae. The Hemeroscopidae Pritykina, 1977 from the Late Jurassic and Cretaceous may belong to this group as well.
